The Community Market operates inside the township building. The township provides the space and a dedicated staff member for logistics and food acquisition.

We’re an independent 501(c)(3), founded in 2025, with one job: make public generosity go further for the neighbors who need it most.
Our Mission
Multiply the good
The township has a limited pool of tax dollars to help families in crisis: lost jobs, medical bills, impossible choices between groceries and rent. But tax dollars only stretch so far, and never far enough for every family in need. The Alliance raises private money to multiply that help: if tax dollars can help 500 people, we want to help 1,000.
Our motto isn’t a slogan we picked from a list. It’s the operating principle behind every cart filled, every emergency met, and every gift wrapped: We Are All In This Together.
Nonpartisan by design. No political candidate and no township employee may serve in the Alliance. Feeding neighbors stays out of politics.
What the Alliance provides
Everything on the shelves that must be purchased: food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank, the diapers and toiletries food banks can’t supply, Christmas gifts, and emergency support (split with the township) when a neighbor’s life turns upside down.
No salaries. No rent. No kidding.
Everyone at the Alliance is an unpaid volunteer. Our overhead is almost nonexistent, so 95% of all financial donations go straight to feeding people and covering critical needs.
Full shelves
Fresh produce, proteins, and pantry staples bought at food-bank prices. At the Community Market, client choice means real choices.
Christmas gifts
Angel Tree gifts for 75–150 township kids, bought new, chosen with care, and wrapped by neighbors.
Emergency support
When a neighbor’s life turns upside down overnight, emergency support from the Alliance and the township bridges the worst days.
